Tale of Two Hearts
Two hearts one love one in air
And one at sea
Torn by obstacles that get in their way
Hoping to see each other one day
But alas there is one heart you see
And would you believe this heart is me
I know that love is a fickle thing
But only one can give me a ring
Two hearts and one love real and true
My heart is on empty
And what can you do
A tale of two hearts
Broken shattered and torn
Still together but drifting apart
Yes it is love and always will be
But the real question is
Do you really love me

Torn by mistakes but miles apart

I entered this poem into a contest at the beginning of the summer. Once I did that I didn’t hear anything about it until recently. it is now in the semi-finals of the nation poetry contest for ametreurs.
